Day 1 - Hot Drink

I have never taken a sick day in my entire life, never! Therefore, it's quite ironic that today, the first day of my September 30-day challenge, is my first. I've been tossing and turning the whole night and feel like something the cat dragged in. Sniffle sniffle, let me score some sympathy points here ;).

I have decided on the theme for my 30-days, and this month is going to be all about Autumn. So, to start off, here's a shot of my favorite tea, to warm those cold fingers of mine. I love tea, but seldom drink it in the summer. Now, however, that Autumn is coming, my tea selection will face some serious pillaging.

What's your favorite tea?

  2. Sorry to hear you start the challenge feeling not so well. Nice to see we have almost the same teaglass. I drink lots of tea, my favorite is LIPTON infusion herbal Morocco Mint.
I love the simple clarity in your shot and it shows the heartshape well.

    1. Thank you Marga, I glad you like it. Mint tea sounds lovely, I actually made a mental note of buying mint tea this morning, as I was making that very cup - I'm out. I like having a bag in hot chocolate to make it minty :)

  3. Wonderful lighting and a great subject. Love how it's perched on the windowsill. A great start to your challenge.
Sorry to hear you aren't well and I hope you are up and at 'em again soon.

  4. I hope you're feeling better. It's a nice first shot and a great theme for the month. I've tried lots of brands but I keep going back to Bigelow Constant Comment with honey and cream.

    1. Thank you. I had to be really quick there, before it stopped steaming :)

  7. Great cup. It really must warm your fingers. I enjoy white tea and rooibos, commonly called red bush tea.

    1. Thank you, it did. I love red tea too, and have several variants in my tea collection. I've heard that it's the healthiest tea.

  8. Aside from the fact it is a lovely photo, nice lighting and colours, I LOVE the cup!
My favourite tea is one from T2 called Pumping Pomegranate. It's especially good to have at work, as it's delicious both hot and cold (and sometimes I'm too busy to drink it all before it goes cold)!

    1. Thanks Megan. Pumping Pomegranate sounds delicious, I'll look for it when I get permission to shop for tea next - Mr has forbidden me to buy tea without having ran out of an other kind. I have a whole kitchen drawer filled with tea (and I have some in a cabinet too, but don't tell anybody haha).

    1. Thanks, as I was quite ill that day, I'll blame any lack of effort on that ;)

  11. I find glass really hard to shoot. There's always some unwated reflection of light but you did a good job on this one - looks great. Andromeda5000

    1. Thank you, I think the back lighting did the trick in this case. I shot this in out upper floor hall, standing in the stair, so there was no light what so ever coming from the front :)
