I found this little fun guy on my way today. He's perhaps not the most beautiful of fungi, but the light fascinated me and the dew made the grass glisten. It's nice to stop and admire the small things in life sometimes :)

This blog post is going to be longer than usual, and even so, how can one summarize one's feelings and memories of a person within the p...
i think the light on the edge is brightest than the rest of the fungi
ReplyDeletei would suggest to take it from lower angle
Ah, but then the sun wouldn't light up the foreground so beautifully and contrast the fungi against grass in the shadow behind it ;) Also, I would get distracting blades of grass in the shot (I already cloned away some).
DeleteGood timing to catch it fully open. Their life cycles are so quick they are easy to miss!
ReplyDeleteThank you Buffy :)
DeleteThe mysterious mushrooms, I love them in autumn. Around here it's a good year for the big ones.I find myself mushroom hunting as well these days, especially the very little ones jus peeping out from the moss. Not much luck yet.
ReplyDeleteMy pc sort of crashed this morning and on my laptop this looks harsher & brighter than I would guess from early morning light.
This year has been a "mushroom year" here in Sweden, apparently they grow like crazy all over the place. My mother in law picked a lot last week and was kind enough to give a lot of them away to Mr and me. I love shrooms!
DeleteMushrooms always make me think of fairy umbrellas. Watch where you step. Pretty photo

Thank you. That's cute, now so will I, and I'll definitely watch where i put my feet :)
DeleteVery nice capture with the vibrant greens of the grass.
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteIts usually too hot & dry for shrooms here in the desert. I miss seeing them. Lovely find.
ReplyDeleteThe autumns here are usually quite moist, though this year seems to be some kind of a record, schroom-wize
DeleteI really like this shot, but that one darn blade of grass, I fear I would have had to pluck it out. You must be a golfer, and cannot disturb the terrain :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Yeah, I know, I would have if the grass weren't so wet, and if I wasn't wearing my fancy work clothes :). And thanks!
DeleteMushrooms are quite fascinating I think. It really is worth it to pay attention (even on your daily journey to work!) to little things like this. Nice find :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Meg :)
DeleteWe used to eat some in my younger days that made you see funny things.
ReplyDeleteHa! Oh my, bad bad boy!
