Day 2 - "The Red Eyed Beast"

Have you ever thought that the lights of a car sort of looks like eyes? I have ;). Some cars look friendly and sort of smile at you, while some look like sinister characters who roam the roads whilst grinning confidently.

I've never owned a car, I've never needed one since our city is so easy to get around in. I live five minutes from a train station and seven minutes from two different bus-stops which covers all my needs. Not to mention that I only have to walk for ten minutes to get to work - which is great! I count myself lucky not to need a car, at least not yet...

    1. Thank you! I feel a bit like Bambi doing this - like I'm out on a slippery icy lake. But it's fun to try something new :). I'm glad you like it!

  2. For such a simple color scheme in this photo, there is so much detail! The lines and textures and reflections bring it to life.

  3. Reminds me of an original Cylon from Battlestar Galactica :D

I wish I lived near places to walk to!

  4. I would die without my car in our city!
Great shot and yes, I have also seen many expressions in the cars that I follow down the roads, for all the driving that I do, taking my kids to sports occasions!
    Very well seen!

    1. Thanks! Good to know that I'm not the only one to anthropomorphize cars haha :). Yes, a car becomes increasingly important when you have children, I have none (yet), but when that day comes I suppose I will have to become a grownup for real, and get my own red-eyed beast ;P

  5. The reflections added so much interest and attitude to the "eye" :)

  6. That is why they created this movie Cars. All the young kids know the names of every character. The merchandise seems to be endless.
Once you look closely to cars you'll probably find more abstracts in them.

    1. Yes, that is probably it. Most children anthropomorphize things. The difference is in what way. Today's toys are different from what children played with 100 years ago (and there's more of them), back them they had to use their imagination more.

  7. Lovely. As it is, your red-eyed monster looks fierce, turn it upside down and I think he may look sad. Eurydice
